Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Accident near 27th Avenue and Glendale Avenue in Phoenix

Police said a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following an accident involving a motorcycle and a sedan Friday evening near 27th Avenue and Glendale Avenue in Phoenix.

Phoenix, AZ.- A motorcyclist was seriously injured following an accident Friday evening in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on July 17 near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

A preliminary investigation found that a gold Lexus sedan traveling eastbound failed to yield while making a left turn.

Police said a blue sports motorcycle traveling southbound then collided with the sedan.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Lexus was evaluated for impairment. Authorities said no signs of impairment were observed.

The accident remains under investigation.
