Police said a woman was killed following a two vehicle accident Friday morning at the intersection of Cooper Road and Merrill Avenue in Gilbert.
Gilbert, AZ.- One person was killed following an accident Friday morning in Gilbert, according to Gilbert Police.
The accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on July 17 at the intersection of Cooper Road and Merrill Avenue.
Police said the woman was found unresponsive and trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Firefighters extricated the woman from the vehicle, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
The intersection remained closed for several hours while emergency crews investigated the accident and cleared the scene.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
