Authorities said a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday at the intersection of US 41 and Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota.
Sarasota, FL.- A pedestrian was injured following an accident Tuesday in Sarasota.
The accident occurred on July 14 at the intersection of US 41 and Bee Ridge Road.
Emergency crews responded to the southwest corner of the intersection after reports that a red Ford Mustang had struck a pedestrian.
Initial reports indicate the pedestrian may have suffered a hip injury. Emergency medical personnel treated the injured pedestrian at the scene.
The collision caused traffic delays as two right lanes on southbound US 41 were closed while first responders assisted the victim and cleared the roadway.
Authorities have not released additional information about the pedestrian or the driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
