Troopers said a 57 year old De Leon Springs man was killed in a head on accident involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer early Monday morning in Flagler County.
Flagler County, FL.- One person was killed and another was injured following a head on accident Monday morning in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. on July 13 on State Road 100, about 1.2 miles west of Bertha Road.
Troopers said a pickup truck was traveling westbound when it left its lane and entered the eastbound lane, where it collided head on with a tractor trailer.
The driver of the pickup, a 57 year old De Leon Springs man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the tractor trailer, a 59 year old Port St. Lucie man, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
No additional information about the identity of the man who was killed has been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
