Albuquerque, N.M. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on Friday morning in Albuquerque.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the accident happened near the intersection of Central Avenue and Madeira Drive at around 1 a.m.
The pedestrian was crossing a road in the area and was hit by a Nissan traveling westbound on Central Avenue.
The pedestrian succumbed to injuries at a local hospital.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Police do not suspect speed and impairment as a factor in the accident.
