Deputies said a side by side was heading southbound on N 2500 Avenue with two occupants when it crashed into an SUV traveling southbound on E 2903 Lane with one occupant.
Adams County, IL. – One person was killed, two others were hurt after a traffic collision involving an UTV on Tuesday evening east of Golden in Adams County, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at 9:14 p.m. on June 23 on westbound N 2500 Avenue.
Deputies said a side by side was heading southbound on N 2500 Avenue with two occupants when it crashed into an SUV traveling southbound on E 2903 Lane with one occupant.
The SUV driver was transported to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
One occupant of the UTV was flown to Springfield Memorial Hospital with injuries.
The second occupant was declared dead at the crash site.
No additional information concerning this collision was provided.
The Camp Point Fire, Adams County Ambulance, Illinois State Police and the Clayton Fire assisted at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
