Troopers said a sedan was heading eastbound on State Road 20 while a garbage truck was halted in the road and was picking up some trash. The sedan crashed into the rear end of the truck.
Bay County, FL.- Two people were killed and another one was severely hurt following a traffic collision on Wednesday afternoon in Bay County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 12:20 p.m. on June 24, on State Road 20, west of Gainer Road.
Troopers said a sedan was heading eastbound on State Road 20 while a garbage truck was halted in the road and was picking up some trash. The sedan crashed into the rear end of the truck.
The sedan driver, a 68-year-old man, and a sedan passenger, a 64-year-old woman, all Clarksville residents were killed in the collision. A third sedan was severely hurt following the collision.
The garbage truck driver was not injured in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
