Troopers said a semi was traveling west on SR-240 when it drove through a red light at the intersection. At the same time, the woman’s vehicle was heading south on Duportail Street and was making a protected left turn when she was hit by the semi.
Richland, WA. – A 58-year-old woman was killed after a semi-truck accident on Friday night in Richland, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The accident happened on June 19 on State Route 240 and Duportail Street.
Troopers said a semi was traveling west on SR-240 when it drove through a red light at the intersection. At the same time, the woman’s vehicle was heading south on Duportail Street and was making a protected left turn when she was hit by the semi. The woman’s vehicle was totalled following the accident.
The woman, a Richland resident, was declared dead at the crash site. Her young female passenger sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
