Police said the man was driving west on Harrison Avenue when he lost control of his car and crashed into a building.

Rockford, IL. – A 22-year-old man of Rockford was killed after a traffic collision early Wednesday in Rockford, according to the Rockford Police Department.
The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. on June 17 on Harrison Avenue and Seminary Street.
Police said the man was driving west on Harrison Avenue when he lost control of his car and crashed into a building.
The 22-year-old man and the only occupant was found unresponsive in the road and was declared dead at the scene.
Harrison Avenue was blocked to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
