According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred on West Washington Street near South Tibbs Avenue at around 1 p.m.

The woman was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the dump truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
