Clermont, FL. – A 24-year-old Orlando man was killed and two others severely hurt after a fiery wrong-way collision early Sunday morning in Clermont.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:20 a.m. on June 14, on State Road 33 near Baker’s Lane.
Troopers said a 2026 Camry was traveling north in the southbound lane of State Road 33. At the same time, a 2016 Dodge Journey was heading in the southbound lane traveling south.
As the two cars headed Baker’s Lane, they crashed head-on and caused the Dodge to be fully engulfed in flames.
The Toyota driver was declared dead at the crash site. The Dodge driver and two Toyota passengers were transported to Orlando Regional Medical with severe injuries.
