Wayne County, IN. – A 70-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Saturday afternoon in Wayne County.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at State Road 38 and Jackonburg Road at around 12:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old man was driving a 2013 Ford Focus eastbound on State Road 38 when he crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2011 Nissan driven by a 70-year-old woman.
One person was trapped and had to be extricated.

The 16-year-old man was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital.
A passenger in the Ford Focus was transported to Reid Health Hospital.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
