Westfield, IN. – A 7-year-old boy died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in Westfield.
According to the Westfield Police Department, the accident occurred in the 19600 block of Tomlinson Road at around 6 p.m.
A child was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
Medics transported the child was to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and in critical condition.
He succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning at around 5 a.m.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The driver showed no signs of impairment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
