Phoenix, AZ. – A man was killed, and two other persons were injured after a traffic collision on Tuesday morning in west Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident occurred at about 11:45 a.m. on June 9, at 27th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Police said a multi-vehicle accident occurred in unclear circumstances.

One man was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Two adults were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of impairment.

The intersection was expected to be closed for several hours and drivers were asked to seek an alternate route.
