According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the accident happened on Interstate 25 near Comanche at around 11:54 p.m.
A 24-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when he was struck from behind by a BMW driven by a 58-year-old man.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The BMW driver showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and an odor of alcohol.
The driver was taken into custody and faces several charges of vehicular homicide, aggravated DWI, and careless driving.
