Elkhart County, IN. – One person was injured in a car crash on Sunday morning in Elkhart County.
According to Indiana State Police, the accident happened near the intersection of Bower Street and North Riverside Drive at around 1 a.m.
A vehicle driven by a 20-year-old man veered off the roadway and struck the Sherman Street bridge.
A passenger was transported to the hospital with a head injury.
The 20-year-old driver was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail. He faces several charges, including Operating While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Minor Consuming Alcohol.
