Tempe, AZ. – At least one person was injured after a multi-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Tempe, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident happened on May 22 on the Loop 101 freeway.
Deputies said four vehicles crashed in unclear circumstances. One of the vehicles burst into flames after the crash impact.
At least one person was injured due to the collision.
The crash was reported in the southbound lanes near milepost 53. Officials restricted access to the southbound lanes to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
