Deputies said the woman was driving east on Springdale Road in a Buick Envision when she entered the junction and into the path of a Peterbilt semi heading southbound on Illinois Route 26.
Ogle County, IL. – A 90-year-old Forreston woman was killed after a semi-truck accident on Wednesday in Ogle County.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened a while before noon on May 13 at Illinois Route 26 and Springdale Road.
Deputies said the woman was driving east on Springdale Road in a Buick Envision when she entered the junction and into the path of a Peterbilt semi heading southbound on Illinois Route 26.
The woman was declared dead at the crash site.
The semi driver, a 67-year-old Leaf River man, was not injured in the collision.
