El Mirage, AZ. – A pedestrian was severely injured after a traffic collision on Thursday morning in El Mirage, according to the El Mirage Police Department.
The accident occurred a while before 8:30 a.m. on May 14, at El Mirage Road and Peoria Avenue.
Police said two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in the crash.
A semi-truck was reportedly off the roadway, and it crashed into a fence while a white sedan sustained significant damage to its passenger and was disabled in the roadway.
First responders conducted lifesaving measures on the pedestrian. The pedestrian was severely injured and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The intersection was closed to give way to an on-sene investigation. Motorists were directed to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
