Tacoma, WA. – Four people were injured after a wrong-way accident on Sunday morning in Tacoma, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened a while before 9:00 a.m. on May 10, on southbound I-5 near milepost 129.

Troopers said a wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles occurred in unclear circumstances.

Four people were hurt in the crash, three of them sustained severe injuries.

Debris was scattered in the area after the collision.

An arrest was reportedly made for DUI and vehicle assault.

Southbound lanes were closed down due to the crash. All lanes were reopened as of 11:30 a.m. 

The incident remains under investigation.
