Deputies said a westbound black sedan crossed the center line and crashed into an eastbound semi-truck for unknown reasons.

Stephenson County, IL. – A man was killed after a head-on crash on Wednesday in rural Stephenson County.
According to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred a while before noon on May 6 at Illinois Route 75, at about a mile east of E. Winneshiek Road.
Deputies said a westbound black sedan crossed the center line and crashed into an eastbound semi-truck for unknown reasons.
The sedan driver was killed in the crash.
The semi driver, a 57-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities closed off Illinois Route 75 between Brick School Road and E. Winneshiek Road for several hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
