Police said a 50-year-old woman from Florence was slowing down in her Volvo 240 in the eastbound lane to make a left turn into a mobile home park where she was rear-ended by a green Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle.

Lane County, OR. – One motorcyclist was killed and another severely hurt after a traffic collision on Sunday afternoon in Lane County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident occurred on May 3, on Highway 126 near Rose Hill Road.
Police said a 50-year-old woman from Florence was slowing down in her Volvo 240 in the eastbound lane to make a left turn into a mobile home park where she was rear-ended by a green Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle.
The impact of the collision threw the rider, a 38-year-old man of Florence, to the ground.
Another white Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle then slammed into the back of the green Harley. The second rider, a 65-year-old man of Florence lost control and his motorbike laid on its side and slid at around 150 feet.
Several other drivers halted to help the two motorcyclists.
The woman who was rear-ended was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Police closed the highway for around an hour to give way to an on-scene investigation.
