Officials said a 26-year-old man was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle southbound when he lost control on a curve and slid into a guardrail.

Tucson, AZ. – A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic collision on Monday morning in Tucson, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident occurred at about 9:40 a.m. on April 20, on Catalina Highway.
Officials said a 26-year-old man was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle southbound when he lost control on a curve and slid into a guardrail.
First responders found the man in the roadway.
The man, who was wearing full protective riding gear, was flown to an area hospital by air ambulance. He was declared dead at 12:12 p.m.
The Catalina Highway reopened at about 5:00 p.m.
No additional details regarding this crash were released.
The incident remains under investigation.
