According to police, a 65-year-old woman was walking southbound in a crosswalk when a southbound red pickup truck hit her. The truck did not stop and drove south on Central Avenue.

Belmont Craign, IL. – A woman was killed after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sunday night in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on April 19, in the 3100 block of North Central Avenue.
According to police, a 65-year-old woman was walking southbound in a crosswalk when a southbound red pickup truck hit her. The truck did not stop and drove south on Central Avenue.
Chicago Fire Department officials arrived at the scene to attend to the woman. She was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation by the Major Accident detective is ongoing.
