Pasco County, FL. – Two people including a 4-year-old boy were killed after a traffic collision early Saturday morning in Pasco County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred a while after 4:30 a.m. on April 18, on Eiland Boulevard, just south of Handcart Road.
Troopers said a Nissan Altima was heading northbound on the roadway while a Hyundai Santa Fe was heading southbound. The Nissan entered the southbound lane and crashed “nearly” head-on into the Hyundai. The two vehicles rotated and rested in the travel lanes.
A 4-year-old boy in the Nissan was killed in the collision.
A 40-year-old woman, a Hyundai passenger, also sustained fatal injuries due to the crash.
Five other persons were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
