Police said a 20-year-old vehicle driver ran a red light and struck the passenger side of the bus in unclear circumstances.

Rock Island, IL. – Several persons were hurt following a traffic collision on Monday afternoon in Rock Island, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred at 12:26 p.m. on April 13, at the 24th Street and 4th Avenue intersection.
Police said a 20-year-old vehicle driver ran a red light and struck the passenger side of the bus in unclear circumstances.
Six persons were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Three more individuals were treated and released at the scene.
The vehicle driver was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
