Indianapolis, IN. – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of North Shadeland Avenue and East 16th Street at around 12:13 p.m.
A pickup truck was traveling southbound on North Shadeland Avenue when it struck an SUV traveling westbound on East 16th Street.
A man was extricated from the SUV and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A female driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether speed or impairment was a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
