Wellington, FL. – A 14-year-old girl was critically hurt after an electric skateboard accident on Tuesday night in Wellington, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on April 7 on Pinion Drive.
Troopers said a 14-year-old was riding an electric skateboard when she was struck by a 2007 Kawasaki operated by a 14-year-old. It was not immediately known if the vehicle was a motorcycle or a golf cart.
The girl sustained critical injuries including rib fractures and two brain bleeds and is intubated in the hospital.
The driver sustained minor injuries. It was not immediately known if they would face any charges in relation to the crash.
