South Phoenix, AZ. – Five women and a child were injured after a major collision on Saturday evening in south Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. April 4, near 23rd and Southern avenues.

Fire officials said two vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An adult woman was pulled out of her car. Three other adult women and a boy were hurt in the collision.

Four adults and one child were transported to the hospital for treatment.

At least one woman was severely injured due to the collision.
