Quincy, IL. – One person was injured after a semi-truck collision on Thursday morning in Quincy, according to the Illinois State Police.

The accident happened on Gardner Expressway on March 27.

Police said a semi-truck was heading northbound when it crashed with a vehicle that failed to yield when making a left turn. The semi dragged the vehicle 100 feet before coming to a halt.

Two people in the vehicle were pinned. They were freed and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The semi driver was evaluated and released at the scene.

No one has been cited in relation to the collision.

An investigation is underway.
