Deputies said the deputy tried to stop a car when the driver took off and ran a stop sign hitting a car belonging to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Goulds, FL. – A Miami-Dade deputy was injured after a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in Miami-Dade County, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s office.
The accident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on March 26, at the Southwest 224th Street and 115th Avenue intersection.
Deputies said the deputy tried to stop a car when the driver took off and ran a stop sign hitting a car belonging to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy.
The deputy was hurt and transported to a local hospital in a stable condition.
Debris was scattered in the area after the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
