Troopers confirmed a white BMW with a green light was heading down Seventh Avenue when a black vehicle traveling on Broward Boulevard ran the red light and T-boned the white vehicle. The impact caused the BMW to spin out of control and hit a FLFR truck waiting to make a left turn at the junction.

Fort Lauderdale, FL. – Police are investigating a traffic collision involving a fire truck on Wednesday morning in Fort Lauderdale.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the West Broward Boulevard and 7th Avenue intersection at 4:15 a.m.
Troopers confirmed a white BMW with a green light was heading down Seventh Avenue when a black vehicle traveling on Broward Boulevard ran the red light and T-boned the white vehicle. The impact caused the BMW to spin out of control and hit a FLFR truck waiting to make a left turn at the junction.
The Driver of the BMW was extricated using the Jaws of Life.
Three fire officials on board the truck were not hurt in the accident and they assisted the injured parties.
Three people were transported to the trauma center at Broward Health Medical Center.
The BMW driver was in a critical condition while a passenger in the black vehicle was in a stable condition in the intensive car. The third individual was released from the hospital.
The two vehicles sustained significant damage from the violent collision.
The Broward Boulevard was closed in both directions between Seventh and Ninth avenues for several hours following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
