
Orange County, FL. – A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic collision Saturday night in Orange County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 7:24 p.m. on March 21, on State Road 50 (East Colonial Drive) near Taylor Creek Road.
Troopers said a 2007 Buick Lucerne was heading east on State Road 50 and heading to Taylor Creek Road. The driver was trying to turn into a private driveway using the westbound lanes when it entered into the path of a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. The Bike was heading west on State Road 50 east of Taylor Creek Road in the outside lane when the crash happened.
The Buick’s front hit the Suzuki’s front causing the two vehicles to burst into flames. The impact of the crash also threw the rider out of the motorbike.
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the crash site.
The Buick driver was not hurt in the crash. They stayed at the crash site and cooperated with authorities.
No other details regarding the crash were provided.
An investigation is underway.
