Las Vegas, NV. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at Nellis Boulevard and Lake Mead Boulevard at around 6:06 a.m.

A 2005 Ford Explorer traveling northbound when it struck a woman crossing Nellis Boulevard.

The woman was transported to UMC where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The police believe the driver was not impaired.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
