According to the police, the accident happened at the intersection of Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive at around 5:38 a.m.
A 1998 Honda CRV was traveling eastbound when it struck a woman crossing Blue Diamond.
The pedestrian was transported to UMC with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Police do not suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
