A woman was driving a Toyota RAV-4 when she struck a man who walked out in front of her car
Tolleson, AZ. – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday morning in Tolleson, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 a.m. near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Police said a 58-year-old woman was driving a Toyota RAV-4 when she struck a man who walked out in front of her car.
The man was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The woman left the scene after the accident. She and her husband later returned to the scene and she was taken into custody. She had two misdemeanor warrants out of Glendale and Phoenix and her driver’s license was suspended.
The woman was booked on one count of leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
Police are investigating the accident.
