Chicago, IL. – Two people were killed after a traffic collision early Sunday morning in Chicago, according to the Illinois State Police.

The accident happened at around 1:46 a.m. on March 15, on the Kennedy Expressway near Randolph Street.

Police said a passenger car was stopped in the traffic lanes when it was hit by a vehicle heading the same direction.

A total of five people were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two people succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
