Second Person Dies After 2-Car Crash on North Allen Road in Peoria

A 21-year-old Peoria resident sustained multiple blunt injuries and was declared dead at the crash site. A 25-year-old woman from Peoria, a passenger from the same vehicle as the 21-year-old was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Peoria, IL. – According to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, a second person has died after a two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Peoria.

The accident occurred at around 9:42 p.m. on March 12 on North Allen Road and West Altorfer Drive.

Police said two vehicles crashed head-on in unclear circumstances.

A 21-year-old Peoria resident sustained multiple blunt injuries and was declared dead at the crash site. A 25-year-old woman from Peoria, a passenger from the same vehicle as the 21-year-old was rushed to the hospital for treatment. She was declared dead at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.

The two were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

An infant was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Debris was scattered across the roadway following the crash.
