Troopers said a Black woman was walking or standing in the outside center lane when she was hit by a vehicle described as a small four-door sedan. She was then struck by additional vehicles before she came to a rest in the roadway.

Lake Worth Beach, FL. – A woman was killed after a pedestrian accident early Friday morning in Lake Worth Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on northbound I-95 near 10th Avenue North on March 13.

Troopers said a Black woman was walking or standing in the outside center lane when she was hit by a vehicle described as a small four-door sedan. She was then struck by additional vehicles before she came to a rest in the roadway.

She was declared dead at the scene.

All northbound lanes of I-95 were closed down during the investigation and reopened a while after 7:00 a.m. 

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
