Troopers said a 2021 Kia Seltos was heading eastbound on Main Street when the driver tried to make a left turn onto U.S. 1 into the path of a pickup truck operated by a 65-year-old Malabar man.
Micco, FL. – A Melbourne man, 66-year-old, was killed after a multi-vehicle accident near Micco, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 1:55 p.m. on March 11, near the U.S. 1 and Main Street intersection.
Troopers said a 2021 Kia Seltos was heading eastbound on Main Street when the driver tried to make a left turn onto U.S. 1 into the path of a pickup truck operated by a 65-year-old Malabar man.
The front of the pickup truck crashed into the Kia causing the truck to spin along the roadway and slam into a sedan ferrying a family of six from Vero Beach.
The Kia driver was declared dead at the crash site.
The pickup driver and the sedan driver and the sedan passengers sustained minor injuries.
