Troopers said a 71-year-old was driving a Chevrolet towards a stopped traffic. A school bus carrying 21 Woodlawn Middle School students was in front of the 71-year-old driver driving towards the traffic. Troopers said she didn’t stop in time and crashed into the backside of the bus.

Santa Rosa County, FL. – A 71-year-old Navarre woman was killed after a traffic collision on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Rosa County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 1:43 p.m. on March 11, on eastbound Highway 98 (Navarre Parkway).
Troopers said a 71-year-old was driving a Chevrolet towards a stopped traffic. A school bus carrying 21 Woodlawn Middle School students was in front of the Chevrolet. The woman didn’t stop in time and crashed into the backside of the bus.
The 71-year-old woman was declared dead at the crash site.
All the children were not hurt and counsellors will be available to offer them mental support.
Both eastbound lanes of Highway 98 at Sunrise Drive have reopened.
An investigation is underway.
