Normal, IL. – According to the McLean County Coroner Office, a 61-year-old male worker was killed in a work-related accident on Thursday afternoon in Normal.
The accident happened on March 5 at the Rivian Automotive warehouse, on 301 Kerrick Road.
Authorities said the man was pinned between a semi-trailer and a loading dock for around 20 minutes in unclear circumstances.
The man was freed and transported to Carle Bromenn Medical Center in a critical condition. The man was declared dead at 2:33 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
