Troopers said a 2024 Ford Escape was heading westbound on north Wickham when it swerved off the roadway to the right, struck a traffic control sign, crashed into a nearby tree and was engulfed in flames.
Suntree, FL. – A driver was killed after a single-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Suntree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 11:46 a.m. March 5, near the Wickham Road and Forest Lake Drive intersection.
Troopers said a 2024 Ford Escape was heading westbound on north Wickham when it swerved off the roadway to the right, struck a traffic control sign, crashed into a nearby tree and was engulfed in flames.
The driver was declared dead at the crash site.
The incident remains under investigation.
