Authorities said a motorcycle and three passenger vehicles were involved in unclear circumstances.
Boca Raton, FL. – Two motorcycle riders were severely hurt after a multi-car accident on Sunday evening on the southbound Turnpike, west of Boca Raton, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The accident happened at 5:20 p.m. on March 1 on southbound Turnpike near the Glades Road exit.
Authorities said a motorcycle and three passenger vehicles were involved in unclear circumstances.
Two people riding in the motorcycle were thrown off the bike after the bike hit the median. The two riders sustained severe injuries and were recorded as trauma alerts.
A Trauma Hawk helicopter was initially launched but later cancelled and the two were rushed to a Palm Beach County Trauma Center by ground ambulances.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
