Cook County, IL. – A driver was killed after a fiery multi-vehicle accident late Tuesday night in Cook County, according to the Illinois State Police.

The accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. March 3, on I-90 near Natoma Avenue.

Police said five vehicles crashed in unclear circumstances. Three of them went off the roadway and hit a light pole and burst into flames.

One of the motorists was killed in the collision.

Other individuals were injured due to the crash.

Police closed the expressway to give way to investigation and a clearing operation. The roadway reopened at about 3:30 a.m.
