San Luis, AZ. – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in San Luis on Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.

The fatal accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on March 3 on State Route 195 near milepost 8.

Authorities said an accident happened near milepost 9, which caused traffic to backup and slow down.

During the slowdown, an eastbound black 2023 BMW SUV lost control and hit a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle ridden by a 28-year-old man.

Both the SUV and the motorcycle left the roadway and ended up in the dirt median after the collision.

The motorcyclist was taken to Onvida Health where he later died.

Speed or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.

The San Luis, Arizona Police Department (SLPD) is investigating the accident.
