Troopers said a blue Honda sedan operated by a 59-year-old woman drove straight across the northbound lanes of US-301 to pull into a grass median before slamming into a gray Ford pickup truck.

Duval County, FL. – One person was killed and two children aged 4 and 7, were severely hurt after a traffic collision on Thursday morning near Baldwin in Duval County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on February 26, on US-301 near Summerfield Lane.
Troopers said a blue Honda sedan operated by a 59-year-old woman drove straight across the northbound lanes of US-301 to pull into a grass median before slamming into a gray Ford pickup truck.
The 59-year-old woman was killed in the collision.
The two children, both wearing seatbelts and Macclenny residents, were severely hurt following the crash.
The pickup truck driver, a 28-year-old woman from Callahan, suffered severe injuries following the crash.
Police blocked all northbound lanes near Summerfield Lane. The roadway was reopened after one hour.
Further details regarding the collision were not released.
An investigation is underway.
