Lake Oswego, OR. – A police officer was injured in a DUI collision in Lake Oswego early Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.
The collision occurred around 3:10 a.m. on February 17 on Boones Ferry Road near Reese Road.
Authorities said a Lake Oswego officer was on routine patrol and was driving northbound when his vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The wrong-way driver, a 22-year-old from Beaverton, was uninjured in the accident and was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and fourth-degree assault for causing injury to the officer.
The collision remains under investigation.
