Broward, FL. – Two persons were killed after a wrong-way accident on Wednesday morning in Broward, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred a while after midnight on February 11 on U.S. 27 at mile marker 37.

Troopers said a Range Rover crashed into the front of a Nissan Altima in unclear circumstances. The Range then came into a halt and blocked the northbound lanes of the road.

The Range Rover burst into flames pinning the driver inside.

The Range driver and the Nissan Altima were killed in the collision.

Authorities closed all northbound lanes of the road following the crash. The roadway was reopened a while before 7:00 a.m.
