The driver remained at the scene after the accident and was not impaired

Beaverton, OR. – A 69-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Saturday evening in southwest Beaverton, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on January 3, at the intersection of Southwest Greenway Boulevard and Southwest Windmill Drive.
Police said the woman and her husband were crossing Southwest Greenway Blvd when she was struck by a car.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. Both she and her husband were wearing dark clothing and crossing in a badly lit area without a crosswalk.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident and was not impaired.
Police are investigating the accident.
